My trombone is silver. I guess more professional grade trombones are laquer finished rather than silver like more euphoniums are. Don't know why. Come to think of it, it never really occured to me.

I had a King 4B with a solid silver bell, the rest was silver plated with gold accents. Best playing trombone I ever owned.

Too pretty to take to gigs though.
