The code.....
1. Buy a large bottle of Bombay Sapphire.
2. Cut out the picture of a bottle of Very Dry Vermouth from any publication advertising same.
3. In the empty space of your wallet place picture which has been removed.
4. Place bottle of gin in freezer overnight.

the drinking technique:
7. Place AT LEAST three cold large queen olives in martini glass (pre-chilling glass is optional).
8. Cover the olives in cold filtered water and swish.
9. Dump the water, straining the olives.
10. Remove gin bottle from freezer and fill martini glass 1/8th inch below rim while looking at picture of vermouth.
11. Sit in comfortable chair, light VERY good cigar and enjoy your perfect martini!
12. Drain and repeat from step 7!
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

A little too dry for my tastes. For steps 2 and 3, substitute:

2. Purchase a fifth of good vermouth.
3. Shine a flashlight through the bottle of vermouth so that the light falls on the bottle of gin.

I prefer 100 proof vodka and a twist of lemon peel, myself, just slightly shaken over pure ice cubes (preferably made with softened water on a machine that puts the hole in the middle of the ice cube!)

BTW: FINALLY! Someone else who rinses the salt off the olives!

I usually pass the bottle of vermouth over top of the glass in one slow smooth motion, being careful not to spill any....sometimes I even take the cap off!

2. In the empty space at the top of the bottle, pour in Very Dry Vermouth to top off the bottle.
3. Replace cap and turn bottle end to end several times to mix.
4. Place bottle in freezer for 2 hours.
5. Open and top off with Vermouth again.
6. Place in freezer overnight.

And now... the drinking technique!

7. Place AT LEAST three cold large queen olives in martini glass (pre-chilling glass is optional).

Cheers, Salut, Skol, etc....

Dont use olives , too much of a salty aftertaste , try 3 drops of Angustura Bitters , and have a black russian cigarette instead of a cigar..

The "Worlds' Smoothest" martini is very simple...

Equal parts of Bombay Saphire gin and Glenfiddich single malt.
