I would like to know if it would be possible to have subcategories for the "For Sale" section. This could make searching for what someone wants a lot easier.
Could look something like this:
FOR SALE
- Tubas
- sousaphones
- CC tubas
- F tubas
- E flat tubas
- B flat tubas (that aren't sousaphones)
- helicons
- Euphoniums
- 3 valve
- 4 valve
- baritones
- Other brass instruments
- trumpets, french horns
- trombones, bass trombones
- opheclides, serpents
- alto horns, tenor horns
- other
- Mouthpieces
- tuba
- euphonium/trombone
- other
- Accessories
- tuners, metronomes
- mutes
- Sheet Music
- tuba studies
- tuba solos
- brass quintet
- other
- Miscellaneous
I understand this may entail a bit of work, and that nothing much can be done about previous postings - they would have to be put in a "Miscellaneous" folder or something.
Suggestion for the "For Sale" section

IMHO, I don't want to see the kind of compartmentalization that is used with ibowtie, OTJF, the brassforum, or even Dave Werden's reincarnation of TubaEuph. I'm not opposed to some tweaking but not to that extent or the suggestions made above.
A couple of things I would encourage:
1. Set all FS/WTB posts to automatically expire after some period, maybe six months or one year.
2. Delete your obsolete posts. We all have this ability. If you are "Looking for Bugs Bunny" and he answer or someone posts contact info, delete the post.
3. Be more descriptive in your labels. "tuba for sale", "help", and "music" are not the most "helpful" labels one can put on a post. If you are selling your original HAYDN euphonium, not a copy of the HAYDN, say so. Someone will want it . . . maybe.
submitted for the good of the order.
