As you can see, it is in nice condition, has little bumps here and there but nothing major.
Slides are all very nice.
The valves work, they're not that quiet, but they just have not been used much lately.
Above the beautiful bell inscription, there are 5 initials. It appears to read: U.S.Q.M.C.
It has been suggested to me that this could be the "United States Quarter Master Corp." "They were the supply branch of the armed forces for many years..."
In any case, it may have been made for a military band of some sort.
It still has the small shank receiver.
Not sure what else I can tell you... that's pretty much it. It has a nice round full sound... as all of these instruments do.
