Horn has been sold.

I'm selling my Miraphone 186 5 valve CC tuba. I need some cash to purchase a 6/4 tuba.

It was purchased new from WWBW in 2000 and was hand picked from about 10 other horns.

The tuba is in good shape with standard wear and tear, but all the lacquor is intact.

The 1st and 4th valves were vented by Alan Baer. The low F is the now standard 4-5 combination, not the old 5-2-3 setup.

I'm including an Alan Baer Custom Marcinkiewicz Mouthpiece that was purchased in 2001. When I purchased it from Al, he said it was 1 of 10 that he had customized specifically for use with the 186. I purchased it for $350.

I also have a Yamaha hard case. The case is well used but still protects the tuba nicely.

I am asking $4500 (obo) for the tuba, mouthpiece, and case. Buyer pays shipping and certified funds are required before I will send it anywhere.

I will also consider negotiating a trade for a 6/4 horn if you are looking to downsize.

I am located in Chicago. Let me know if you want to play the tuba and we can make arrangements for a trial.

Bump

I'll also throw in a tuba exchange gig bag, it needs a little repair, but it functions well in spite of that fact.
