This has been a pet peeve of mine lately.

You are not entitled to free music. Save your money and spend $20 for a CD recording you can keep forever. It supports the musicians and the companies involved with making a CD, and that means there will be CD recordings of the Hindemith to look forward to in the future.

If you'd rather not do that, I can set up my mic and record myself doing some long tones and then email them to you. That sounds fun, doesn't it?

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."

I know there are players on this list who have posted their recordings (good ones!) at acidplanet. I don't have any links handy now. But, here is an example posted by a euphonium player.

Why all of the slams? I don't read anywhere in the origanal post that the person wanted to get free music - just that they wanted a good source for tuba recordings. Unless something has changed a whole lot you can't just go into your local CD store and find tuba recordings. I know it has taken me a long time to find the sources I use for buying tuba recordings. Cut the person a bit of slack!!!!!!!!

Notice that the original post has been edited. But, given that there are legitimate free sources of tuba music, I agree there is no reason to assume that bootleg music was being sought.
