While putting a beer cooler in the boot may, in fact, be an apropriate use of an MGB/GT,

WHO DRINKS STOUT COLD?

I'd use the Mythbusters methods first.

Bucket full of water Ice and salt does the trick rather fast. 5 minutes does about the same as the jet engine.

A CO2 fire extinguisher should do it in about 2 minutes

Well, yeah, if you want something simple, either of those would git 'er done! The "Rube Goldberg/Heath Robinson" factor's practically nil on both of 'em, though ... and there's also the "bloke" factor to consider ... :P :lol:
