WTB PT10 or MW 2182

Post by jtuba »

I might be looking for an F tuba soon. Are there any PT10s or 2182s on the market? Also, can anyone describe differences between PT10s and PT15s? I've played a bunch of good PT10s, but have little experience w/ the 15. Is the bell taper the only difference between the horns? Thanks.

hey Cip,
all of the 15's I've played have a bigger maybe somewhat less defined sound compared to the PT10. I'm guessing that's not what you want.

Definition and clarity are definately what I look for in an F. I had Tim Keyser's B&S Symphonie for about a week and did like it very much. Doesn't Don have two of these.
