I remember photos of me looking like that, from about 1969, when I first started playing tuba.

LoyalTubist SINGS JUST FOR YOU!

Picture was taken at a Karaoke bar in Saigon, Vietnam, on Friday, December 23, 2005. The bar was said to be in the former barracks of the Americal Band of the U.S. Army.

A Humes & Berg mute makes a handy club in those alleys behind performance halls!
You need protection with all those rogue viola players about...

This picture is a few years old, and shows me practising on a band-owned Yamaha horn in my laboratory, probably waiting for some reaction to finish. :-)

This one is more recent, from last summer. I am holding my Besson. The other guy is Swedish tubist Magnus Eriksson.

That picture reminds me a lot of a picture of Roger Bobo that appeared in Mirafone advertisement a couple of decades ago.

Yeah, I kinda dug the whole long hair and beard thing. Was that really that long ago?
