Those are normally only used by pros. Regular folks use a BBBBBb...

I suspect that whatever's producing the sound wave is creating an impulse with a pretty steep leading edge, which means that the harmonic content can be pretty rich. If it was a pure sine wave, I doubt that you could do much more than feel it.
Has anyone done any sort of study to see if these things actually work? 120 db isn't much by atmospheric standards. Heck, the average community band probably gets pretty close to that...
