The stuff was so cheap, they gave me money to take it off their hands. It's awesome stuff, but kinda sucks to get on your fingers. It lasts forever (both the grease on the slides and the bottle, you barely need any).

For the slides I want to move slower I use,

For my slides that I want to move like little rockets, I use Hetman light slide oil, and hetman slide oil.

I've been meaning to try what's been recommended to me recently:

This summer, I am likely to try this new product and possibly report on it.

I use hi temp bearing grease on the DS. The stuff last forever and unlike anhydrous lanolin doesn't thickin up when it gets cold.

I use anhydrous lanolin from the drugstore on tuning slides. Have for many years. Has its pluses and minuses but works ok for me since I don't pull slides while playing and it's inexpensive.

I use plain old generic unscented cold cream, also inexpensive and from the drugstore, with water in a spray bottle for my trombone. Come to think of it, the spray bottle came from the drugstore.

Neither product is toxic and they don't make my horns smell like old carburetors.
