It's not a great picture, but this is a Helleberg copy my son and a friend of his did on a 3D printer. The tape on the shank is because the mouthpiece has a slightly rough texture, and my son sanded it smooth, but it is slightly too small now. I told him Version 1.5 needs to have a slightly larger shank. I tried it out, and it actually works very well.

The rim is on the flat side and has a textured surface, as does the inside of the cup. I am not sure how we would go about shaping, sanding and polishing the rim without making it uneven.

It's a bit of a hack, but you can often smooth out the ridges of a print using a solvent vapor. Some folks have gotten very positive results out of it.
