Do you want the top 5 solos that a tubist might play for other tubists at an ITEA conference, or the top 5 solos a tubist would play in the real world that would appeal to a broader non tuba playing audience and hope to make a little money? These are two vastly different lists I'm sure.

I don't know of any "real world" tuba solos that the general public would even remotely be interested in, let alone any that could be money makers besides the following three.

All "flashy" pieces...as fast stuff is all that seems to have universal appeal...

Hindemith- Sonata (I really like the Tuba part; but it's the pianist who gets a real workout.)
Wilder- Effie Suite (Although, quite honestly, I just don't like it that much.)

Grant- 3 Furies (This seems to be making a lot of the audition lists for service bands)
