Good point! I also have to wonder how many people have checked into the Hilton.GC wrote:She may not be by the time she gets out.

Woah! Step back a moment: it isn't state prison she's looking at; it's county jail. More like the old song "Thirty Days In The Hole" (or more like forty-five for her).
The jailers will take good care of her because they won't want to risk any civil rights lawsuits, either from the conduct of the jail staff or the way other inmates treat her.
Granted, she'll be in a jail jumpsuit instead of haute couture, and eating SOS instead of, well, you get the picture, but in the grand scheme of things in some ways it's small potatoes compared to hard time for a felony.
But it is important nevertheless. People forget that insurance does not cover accidents while a person is driving without a valid license. So if anything had happened while she was driving without a valid license, she would have not only violated a lot more laws, but would have been personally responsible for any money damages she caused, without the benefit of liability insurance.
My wife got rear ended a couple of years ago from an uninsured motorist. We just now got reimbursement for the property damage deductible of our own policy after our insurance company got it out of the driver at fault through subrogation. It will be at least another couple of years before we get a conclusion on her personal injuries.
Paris Hilton should do every day of the forty-five days to think about these larger issues.

Where's the other petition?
Just read the article ... so where's the petition to double her sentence?

But...knuxie wrote:Just Off Topic, Shaman...anything goes, but religion and politics. Paris is legal fodder here.
Girls like Paris Hilton are DEFINITELY against my religion (and most other mainstream world religions for that matter

AND
I would vote out of office immediately any politician who gave her a pardon just for being Paris Hilton, and I am sure so would many others of all political persuasions.

The question I have, Ray, is how you came upon this information. Is this what you've been googling lately?TubaRay wrote:http://music.yahoo.com/promos/topevents/

An excellent question, Rick. The link was up on MSN front page, if I remember correctly. Also, it is difficult these days to avoid some of this cr*p.Rick Denney wrote:The question I have, Ray, is how you came upon this information. I never thought Paris Hilton was that pretty... prison might give her character.
Martha Stewart is a very beautiful woman (IMHO) and she is just as beautiful now, maybe moreso, than she was before prison.

And now, for the latest chapter of BS in the saga:
http://www.topix.net/content/cbs/168726 ... 1412881066
Someone is suing her in civil court for something completely unrelated (probably no big deal that will eventually settle -- as we all know, the more famous or infamous the individual, the more people tend to sue them for any reason or no reason at all). The kicker is that a psychiatrist actually filed a report with the civil court that due to the mental stress that Paris Hilton is enduring over the jail sentence, she is too "distraught" and unable to testify in the civil suit.
Again, in a "former life," I found the common room of a county jail to be a great place to set up for a deposition or for preserving testimony -- perfect security.
A more recent Eagles's song comes to mind from their last tour:
"Get Over It."
