He didn't come here for an argument. He came for abuse.

Sunday, August 31, 7 P.M.
The first rain bands of Gustav started right before dark.
If I tied all my knots right, my stuff should stay put.
Sure hope so!

Welcome home, Wade...glad you made it OK.
It looks like you'll be spared the really bad stuff this time (knock on wood).

Gustav weakened just enough for New Orleans to handle the punch. This luck must continue.

That would be a bowl of scrambled eggs (4 x-tra large) mixed in with one hamburger's worth of cold ground beef (that was cooked early and store in the refridgerator) with some nice OJ (extra pulp, of course) on the side. That was my dinner last night, and it was quite refreshing.
The eggs come out the way I want (consistency and texture) when I added the liquid immediately after turn on the heat in the pan (after lubing it up). It takes longer, but I enjoy the results.

My pickup is still in the shop and will be for at least another week (of 3) having $7000 worth of damage repaired.
You should have seen the damage when a pickup hit another pickup that spun around and slammed into me broadside to broadside while I was sitting at a stop light minding my own business in a driving rain near Atlanta. Both the other trucks looked totaled to me. How no one was hurt I have no idea. I drove away. They didn't.
If we'd been in my wife's Cavalier instead of my Silverado I have no doubt that she would have been badly hurt, if not killed outright.
So the next time some smug, PC, self righteous Prius drivers get in my face about how much gasoline I burn in that truck they can all just kiss my rosy red and still in one piece a$$.

Still waiting on the estimates from my truck accident last week. Some young kid thought he could beat the red and hit me at about 85 mph in the passenger side. I have been in bed for a week
