Post by tubatooter1940 »

Would like to get some feed back on the Wenger tuba tamer stand sans chair. Will it hold any size tuba?Is it practical to gig with?

They are quite heavy and awkward I believe. I can't see hauling one of those and a cased tuba without a very large cart of some type.

Check out the tuba stands at Baltimore Brass. The ones that they have made for them are both sturdy and portable.

good luck,

Both DEG and K&M make "tuba stands" that are very portable and work very well. The DEG is lighter and cheaper, yet not made quite as sturdy as the K&M so depending on what you are looking for either of these could be the right one for you. FWIW
