Was watching the movie and thought to myself, that is very good music, who plays the tuba in the movie?
Does anyone know?
Just wondering.

Re: Ben-Hur
If you're referring to the original, it was released in 1959. Perhaps a bit before Mr. Harrild's time?

Re: Ben-Hur
I bet he means the 1925 film version of Ben Hur, with a new soundtrack by Carl Davis. I performed this years ago in New York with the composer conducting. It's 2+ hours of Prokofiev-Wagner-Strauss influenced bombast with little chance to rest. Fun!
Here's a snippet of the battle music (unfortunately dubbed on top of a World of Warcraft video clip. Feel free to ignore the video). http://video.google.nl/videoplay?docid= ... 6110&hl=en" target="_blank" target="_blank
Amazon says the recording's by Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
