As part of a sponsorship deal with Willson in Switzerland, I was told a new 2900 euphonium left the factory last week!

Do they make a taller version of the 'Voyager'?schlepporello wrote:I got something to use with my tuba, a Manhasset stand (the taller version). It puts the music right at eye level for me if I have to play while standing.

Does a euph count?
eBay acquisition -- well-used King 2280 euph. After a bath and some de-denting, it should be a nice choice for an occasional doubler wannabe. It should be very helpful for strolling Christmas quartet playing. Seems appropriate to use a Christmas present to herald a far more significant Gift ....
Merry Christmas,

The Manhasset web site doesn't list a tall Voyager, just a short one: http://www.manhasset-specialty.com/stands.cfm Perhaps you could persuade them to sell you the guts of the tall #48T in a #52 Voyager body.I took a quick look on WW & BW and didn't find anything.

It does indeed ... and a Merry Christmas to you, too!Steve Inman wrote:... Seems appropriate to use a Christmas present to herald a far more significant Gift ....

As to the subject: why wouldn't it count? Same instrument family, after all ... to paraphrase Dr. Seuss, "a tuba's a tuba, no matter how small"
