That does appear to be a CC from the first valve wrap etc... looks like a 52 with a modified 4th valve wrap (maybe they trashed the "bigger bore" on the 4th).
Need to go get my magnifying glass!
J.c.S.
it's in CC, it's not a 52J, the rest is a secret

Yes, after all, they would perfer one to their li-King, so as not to be considered Conn artists. So until it is released to the general public, I'll just be Martin time.

One of the most in tune and responsive tubas I've ever played.
And lightweight, too!
Mr. Dallenbach is welcome to check it out anytime!
I'd shoot my grandma for that thing...

Exactly, Sam. I want one. I already can see I want one. It looks like a 52J but it isn't a chopped 2341. It looks "fixed".

I will tell you one thing and one thing only: that isn't Chuck's tuba, nor is it anything that Conn/King/Selmer has made. I will tell you that I am the proud owner of that tuba as well Everything else shall remain a secret.

By the engraving and flair it looks like a York bell on a cut-down 2341 body. I imagine that Chuck liked it a lot. Probably plays considerably better than the CB-50.
Did you put it together, Andy? A big "nice work" to whomever did the job.
On the Canadian Brass Facebook page, there's Chuck with a tuba with a carbon fiber bell (according to Canadian Brass's response to a comment thread). It looks something like a Conn 2J-5J with a different/altered valveset. Here are some pics I've collected from Facebook. Is there any other info about this tuba?
