I know, I hated hearing that news (I had even met the Goose Island brewmaster here in NY a few weeks before that, and he gave the usual "my family started and has run this company since...").

Not to worry, there are tons of great breweries out there still! And they're all finding places to sell here in NYC, which is awesome!

favourite beer for me Alkohol Frei Isotonisch,Vitaminhaltig & Kaloriendreduziert
and it tastes nice too
Cant carry a tune but I can carry a tuba.

Ooooh! Erdinger. I could never get past their bock, Pikantus, to get around to tasting the Alkohol Frei. After all I'm primarily a trombonist. What can I say?

Helped me loose a stone in weight and 4 inches off my waist when I switched and it tastes nice
Cant carry a tune but I can carry a tuba.

When I next get to the UK, I am going to try some of these: Stringers Beer! - made by a friend of mine and her husband. (BTW, she also played Bass in an '80s Liverpool rock band called The Room.)

They get very high ratings for all of their varieties - classic British Beers!
