Definitely talk to the teacher about the frequency of lessons that he/she thinks would be appropriate. Some teachers prefer to teach a "longer" lesson say 1.5-2 hours and do it once every two weeks. That way a significant aount of material can be covered and then it gives you ample time to work on it all. I know personally I always prefered that, because with a standard one hour lesson once a week I never felt like it was enough time all around. Just a thought. Either way good luck and enjoy. It will definitely be beneficial any way you do it.

Who are you taking lessons from?Mike TUba wrote:I go once a week accept last week and this week im going twice a week to work with a pinano player for my solo. But private lessons are the most helpfull thing ever. but you have to be willing to put in the time to practice otherwise you dont get much done.
