Job Title: Tuba/Euphonium
Rank: Asst. Professor
Serve as instructor of applied tuba and euphonium for both undergraduate and graduate students. Perform as part of the Western Brass Quintet. Maintain a record of performance and professional activities necessary for tenure. Recruitment and service appropriate for a university faculty member.
Doctorate required. (Masters degree with significant progress toward the doctorate or professional experience equivalent to doctoral work will be considered).Demonstrate excellence in, and commitment to, performance as both a solo and ensemble artist on the tuba. Demonstrated success as a teacher in both tuba and euphonium is required, preferably at the university level. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills. Maintain an active career in his or her professionPossess strengths and interest in teaching other courses of the standard music curriculum. Possess experience and interests in teaching related supplementary areas such music technology, entrepreneurship, arts business, etc.
