Mack 410 CC tuba Comparison
Okay, so I'm really thinking about buying a Mack Brass 410 CC tuba soon but I have a question that has been driving me crazy. Every one says it compares to the Miraphone 186 but the Mack Brass 410 looks just like the Miraphone 188 model to me... So, here is my question, does it have the body style of the 188 and just play like the 186 or is it something else (or am I just crazy)?

Okay thank! I guess just seeing the wrap makes me want to think of the 188.

To me, it definitely plays heavier than a 186. Maybe thicker metal or heavier bracing.

186.
Fit and finish has been an issue in the past, but that is improving.
Is it a $6200-price-difference issue? Nope.
I keep thinking of selling mine, but keep losing interest in that. It's hard to imagine where you could get more bang for the buck.

Re: Mack 410 CC tuba Comparison
Hi, forum,
i ve been thinking of buying the 410CC tuba directly from the jinbao factory. but i am still considering. i own a large BBb 4 rotors Jinbao tuba. at first i like it a lot. it plays great when i practice at home. but once i take it to a concert band, with 3 other yamaha 321 big tuba near me, i can hear the difference . both me and my bandmates found it sounds stuffy. but if there were only me (i mean only 1 jinbao tuba in the band) then it blends quite well with the others. so i ve been hesitating buying the jinbao big CC.
can someone here with a mack or wessex 186 clone share your views? thx!

The 410 has stupid good intonation though, so it's a gamble you can't lose!

Plus, with Tom's price and his 7 day return policy, it's hard to go wrong there. (I'm obviously a satisfied customer, but not a shill).
