I wouldn't exactly call this a "starter."

I believe that this was Jay Bertolet's 6/4 CC for several years with the Florida Philharmonic, and although he sold it, I suspect that it is a fine tuba worthy of the consideration of those looking for CC of the 6/4 persuasion.

ive got a MW 2145 for sale with a gig bag and Walt Johnson flight case. Horn is in good condition with minor dents here and there, but it plays and looks beautiful. Email me for more info. Tubaguyjoe@hotmail.com

I do not doubt that it is a fine horn and quite possibly one of the better/best ones out there. I was only saying 'starter horn' because the original poster seemed pretty set on a specific horn. This one would get him/her started off with a great horn and if his/her heart was still set on it, they could trade or sell it to get a MW or Kallison as was originally wanted.

If I had the money, I would have bought this horn myself because it sounds like just the horn I have been wishing for.
